Gluten Free Bacon Cheese (it’s your call on the cheese) Burger….
You can make any burger pretty darn healthy by just throwing out that bread! I have chosen to use cabbage leaves as my “bun”. They are thick and sturdy so they hold together all that yummy goodness well.
Ingredients for the above burger:
1 large cabbage leaf
cheese (you may try to sub. with goat cheese or choosing no cheese at all if you have a negative reaction to it)
(add condiments if you would like. i have a few recipes for purely gluten free mayo, ketchup, and mustard. i will try to post those a little later.)
In a bowl add ground beef and desired spices (for this burger I used dashes of paprika, garlic pwd, salt, and pepper). Mix together and make patties. Cook bacon until desired crispiness. Set aside, add patties to the pan. Cook. Burgers can be cooked slightly or fully depending on desired pinkness.
Add onions to pan and cook for ~5 min.
Place cabbage leave on a plate and add burger, bacon and other desired toppings!
